The annual Harvey Duncan Memorial two player ambrose was played; sponsored by Rod Brown and the family and friends of Harvey’s there was a big field.

It was great to see the Duncan family in attendance, and what a great array of trophies up for grab.
The winners were Sandy Dunn and Dave Andrews with a great 70 of the stick for a 65 nett. The mixed winners were Pete Hinton and Chantelle Steere; prizes went down to 68 nett. At the time of writing this I didn’t have all the results which are available at the club.
Tuesday July 18
The ladies played the first round of the club championships, also a monthly medal was played for. The winner of the Bev Bisby Trophy and the medal was Trish Eacott with a 76 nett. Division one gross winner was Katrina Greenaway 90, nett winner Pat Whiteley 77. Division two gross Kathy Knapp 114, nett Bev Bisby, 80. Division three gross Belinda Tonkin 121, nett Robyn Dudgeon 85, runnerup Marg Earley.
The nearest the pin winners on the third were Katrina Greenaway for Division one, Noelene Nelson Division two, Marg Earley Division three, on the 7th Kath Knapp Division two, Jill Hampton Division three.

Wednesday July 19
Forty-nine players played in the veterans’ competition. The winner was Brian Haynes 36pts c/b, next was Ken Malpass 36, Trevor Jones 35. Both the nearest the pins were won by Tom Hadwell.
The LJ Hooker Thursday chookrun on July 20 was won by Dave Andrews 23pts, followed by Richard Dudgeon 22, M. Dathew 20c/b, Pat Whiteley 20c/b, Graham Steel 20c/b, Robyn Dudgeon 20.
The sharp shooters winning the nearest the pin on the third Syd Gilfillan and on the seventh Katrina Greenaway.
Friday July 21
The ladies played a nine-hole stableford. The winner was Marcia Fowler, runnerup Connie Gates, the ball winner was Marg Earley and the nearest the pin winner was Noelene Nelson.
Coming up
On Sunday July 30 the Holden Scramble ambrose will be played. Anyone wishing to play, there are spots still available.
