The association’s next meeting will be held on August 8 at the Waterfront Function Centre from 12.30pm.
Council candidates will be invited to present on the topic:
“Taree is the major centre in the MidCoast Council area with both Gloucester with former Great Lakes council areas offering further diversity to create a marketable Mid Coast region.
- What strategy would you offer, if elected to council that respects the opportunity for a hub and spoke relationship with Taree as the geographic centre where there are wider services on offer while leveraging off the attributes that the former Great Lakes and Gloucester councils can bring to the table to strengthen the whole Mid Coast region as a cohesive and marketable unit”
- What attributes do you have that can foster a team relationship within the elected council and staff, so that respect and equity is established as a core behaviour.”
Those wishing to attend and interested candidates can contact businessman’s association president Alan Tickle on 0434 645 853 for further details.
