Club fours semis June 24
Michael Clarke, Glen Dennes, Brian Williams and Terry Rowe go to the final after defeating Graeme Ireland, Paul Swan, Peter Tindall and Graeme Mansfield 21-19. The contest was close throughout, however Michael’s crew won 13 of the 21 ends but found themselves in a bit of trouble on the 16th end when Graeme’s team collected six shots to take the lead 18-16.

Tom Moore, Col Watson, Laurie Mullen and Terry Rowe defeated Len Heming, Ben Wolters, Jay Nicholson and Barry Kershaw 26-14. Len did have the lead by three shots after winning the first end but it was all Tom’s way from that point and on the 14th end with a commanding lead of 16 shots.
Minor Singles
Len Heming commenced his wish to be a real force to take this title when he came up against Kane Carmody by winning 31-14. Len commenced strongly by jumping to a 12-nil lead after only eight ends however Kane fought back to some degree by winning 11of the remaining ends.
Wednesday Social
Daniel Leadbeater, Dennis Rolfe and Glen Gilford won the event with their +5 against Jim Gillogly, Rex Thomas and Tim Richardson.
Steve Knott, Ben Wolters and Mick Hollebone had a shot victory over Dallas Hammond, Jack Pie and Brian Williams. Also with a shot win were Peter Holden, Jason Nicholson and Steve Pullman against Greg Bartlett, Kev Coles and Allan Dodd.
Saturday Open
Greg Bartlett got an ‘armchair’ ride as he had with him Jack Pie and Lesley Burnell-Jones when they won the day with a +13 against Denise Matheson, Leonie Gilford and Mick Hollebone.
Steve Matheson, Jim Gillogly and Tim Richardson got a +12 against Peter Holden, Dallas Hammond and Stan Burnell-Jones.
Chris Kane, Peter Kriss and Glenn Gilford got a +10 over Peter Williams, Daniel Leadbeater and Dick Connell.
Scroungers
On Sunday afternoon in brilliant sunshine this mixed event had 13 Gloucester visitors enter with Kevin Everett taking home third prize with local identity Allan Cox snaring first and George Floyd coming in second place.
