Mr Bromhead welcomed Tuesday’s 2017-18 budget with funds committed to a range of projects across the Myall Lakes electorate.
Funding has been set aside for a raft of road and bridge projects including $3 million for planning for the upgrade of Old Bar Road and The Lakes Way.
Planning and painting of the Martin Bridge in Taree can begin with the government providing $10 million to get work commenced.
An upgrade of Taree Police Station will get underway with $1.5 million to finalise planning and get work started.
A further $1.36 million for social housing upgrades, $1.65 million to upgrade recreational boating infrastructure facilities and an additional $30,000 for the Old Bar footpath project are also in Tuesday’s budget.
With work well underway on stage one of the Manning Hospital redevelopment, the NSW government has kicked in $9.86 million more to see building continue.
Old Bar Public School will see a massive upgrade with several new permanent teaching spaces for students and staff. This follows on from Mr Bromhead securing $1.95 million to address maintenance backlog at Great Lakes College Forster Campus.
“From our largest towns to our smallest villages, this budget will fund projects that will build and renew infrastructure, provide new and enhanced services and make life easier for residents across the Myall Lakes,” Mr Bromhead said.
“When I’m out travelling the electorate I am always getting feedback about Old Bar Road, Manning Hospital, Martin Bridge – so to have the government take notice and commit to the future of these projects is wonderful,” Mr Bromhead said.
