A 21-year-old Taree man was arrested following a police pursuit at 10.50am Thursday, May 25, at Wingham.

Police will alleged that the man was detected driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle. When signaled to stop the driver refused and a pursuit was called.
The driver continued via a number of Wingham streets before stopping the vehicle in the Cedar Party area and running from the vehicle.
The driver was located in scrub land nearby after a police dog tracked him.
The driver was charged with police pursuit, drive whilst disqualified, possession of prohibited drug, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and breaching his bail by driving a motor vehicle.
The man has been refused bail by police to appear tomorrow at Taree Local Court.
