Our Grade six came up against Taree Leagues in a deferred game and playing at home each rink had a victory, with that of Ian Furner’s once again dominating, and this time by 13 shots, thereby ensuring a 10 point victory and taking out the section.

The other rinks of Rex Dawson and Dallas Hammond had a much closer contest but each got up by two shots.
This coming Saturday Wingham will come up against Taree Railway with the victor taking the crown for this season and then onto the state playoffs.
Our seven grade finished the season on a high when they played the leaders of that section, Harrington, at our club also by collecting a total of nine points.
Barry Smith led his team to a well deserved nine shot win, Hunter Payton’s team got up by four shots with Peter Tindall and his crew doing well but going down in the final ends by only three shots.
Club Pairs
Mick Hollebone and Dennes Rolfe on Sunday got away to a flyer by leading Dallas and Mark Hammond 10-1 early in the game. However the crafty Hammond pair then took complete control only allowing their opponents one more point, finally winning by 11 shots.
Wednesday Social
Jim Gillogly and Bob Hardy ensured they won the day by defeating Brad Bell and Barry Kershaw with a +23 result. The next best with a +1 were Greg Bartlett and Jason Nicholson against Graeme Ireland and Ralph Spillmman.
A draw was the result between Brian Williams, Dennis Rolfe and Brain Gilgen up against Steve Knott, Rex Thomas and Allan Dodd. Also with a draw were Peter Holden, Graeme Mansfield and George Floyd against Dallas Hammond, Mick Hollebone and Tim Richardson.
