Proud parents Mark and Annette Kennedy from Elands travelled to Newcastle for the ceremony along with Amanda’s brother Andrew and Fiancée James Dorrington.
Her Honours’ project focused upon what affect celebrity misbehaviour had upon consumer brand attitudes and purchase intentions, and how this affect could be minimised by presenting the celebrity as their fictional character in advertisements.
Amanda had previously graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Marketing and Management with Distinction in 2015.
Amanda is proud of her local schooling, and attended Elands Public School followed by Wingham High School where she completed her HSC in 2007.
Amanda is still currently living in Newcastle and has started her PhD after receiving a full scholarship from the University of Newcastle for showing exceptional research promise. This scholarship not only covers living expenses but also pays for the cost of undertaking the program.
