Effective immediately, the 11 tonne load limit will require heavy vehicles to detour using Comboyne Road and Shorts Road, or via Cedar Party Road. A reduced speed limit of 20 kilometres per hour will apply to general traffic continuing to use the bridge.
Crews will undertake urgent repairs on the bridge, requiring a full road closure from Tuesday May 23 at 9am, through to 4pm on Thursday May 25. Following this important maintenance, the load limit will be raised to 20 tonnes, however the 20km speed limit will remain in place.
Motorists are asked to plan travel accordingly during the closure period, and to observe all roadwork and detour signage placed in the area.
