Wingham Advancement Group members Allen Valentine, Dennis Jenkins and Ron Sky were hard at work today on the WAG Apex Waterfall project in Central Park.
The site has been fenced off since work began in January with wet weather cited as the reason the project has stalled.
But a decent spell of fine weather has boosted the spirtis of the WAG members and on Friday they rendered the wall of what will become a modern day version of the original 1972 Apex Waterfall.
Allen would not be held to a final completion date with much work still needed by the WAG volunteers, however plans are a foot to paint the rendered structure next week.
With WAG footing most of the bill for the construction of the project, Allen hopes the community may come on board to help fund phase two of the project – the landscaping – once the waterfall is up and running.
