Our ‘top’ grade playing at home only went down by seven shots against the strong Forster outfit. We picked up a 1/2 point and that was the rink of Tom Moore with a drawn game.
The 6’s travelled to Harrington and this was their first loss for the competition, however they did collect 1 1/2 points with Rex Dawson’s side winning and a drawn encounter on Ian Furner’s rink.
Club Pairs
Daniel Leadbeater and John Black came up against the ‘giantkiller’s’ Peter Kriss and David O’Donnell (who had previously defeated the 2016 Club Champions) on Sunday morning. The result went against Peter and David who could only manage to win six ends and overall went down by 20 shots.
Len Heming and Jason Nicholson found the going tough against Michael Clarke and Terry Rowe, but they did pick up somewhat after 10 ends to eventually go down by only 5 shots.
