Term two has begun for the pupils and teachers. I was out of touch with the school happenings before the holidays and wondered why but have since learned there has been a change of secretary so I guess that just might account for that. I will have to get in contact with the school office and ensure I get their newsletters so I know how things are progressing this term.
I am sure everyone who has had contact with Katrina, the secretary who has left us for greener pastures, wishes her and her little family well in their new endeavours.
Please keep the evening of Friday, May 18 clear on your calendar as the hall is holding a bingo night from 6pm. This was the most popular request from everyone who replied to what they would like to have happen at the hall when the trust surveyed the community. Please give them your support and talk with each other to decide what else you would like to see at the hall.
It will be eyes on your bingo cards and markers in hands at 6.30pm for a night of fun and prizes. It is a family friendly night so bring your family members. Supper will be served so attendees are asked to bring along a plate to share and the tea and coffee will be supplied by the helpers of the hall. BYO. There will be more news as the time draws near with Graham ensuring you get further information you need through Facebook and a letterbox drop.
I noticed the Market Day sign outside the hall as I came home from town on Saturday. It is good to see that they are back in swing.
One of the tireless workers for the hall who always helped set up the stalls and ran the barbecue has been very ill in the past few months. But he is back on deck so here’s hoping the markets take off once again.
