The Pink Ladies of Manning and Wingham hospitals have raised funds to purchase seven urine chemistry analyser machines for the use of the wards.

With the machines, the medical and nursing staff will be able to receive concise and consistent readings for products such as blood, protein and sugar.
Specific results will also show up through the machines, enabling the possible detection of renal disease, urinary tract infections, diabetes, liver function and pregnancy.
The machines were dispersed among various wards of each hospital such as emergency and children’s.
Pink Ladies president Corinne Lang said the group will always do what they can to assist the local hospitals.
“It has been needed to update the machinery, it’s a quicker way of doing everything.
“We’re always happy to give them anything they ask for.
“We go by our motto hold high the lamp of service for the welfare of our hospital,” Ms Lang said.
