You can enjoy horse events, cattle, goat and poultry judging, an animal nursery, amusement rides, a parade of cattle and horses, campdraft, dog high jump, gumboot throwing, show jumping and a fire safety demonstration.
There’s also live entertainment, food and fireworks and of course, the wood chop. Then there’s the grand parade and the announcement of the Showgirl winner.
There’ll be a hay-baling demo, a mini-bikes demo, a farmers challenge, a bull ride, junior steer and paddy ride.
Show Society president, Neil Coombes said they have bigger numbers of entries than usual, due to the Wingham and Kempsey shows being cancelled this year.
“We’re excited about our new PA system going in, and we’ve got a new bar too.”
He said highlights will include the smash-up derby and the bull ride. Hall entries for the show will be taken at the main hall from Monday April 17 from 8am to 4.30pm.
On Wednesday April 19, the following sections will be judged:
- schoolwork
- art
- photography
- handicrafts
- hobby pottery
- dolls
- needlework
- spinning and weaving
- woodwork and leatherwork
On Thursday April 20, the following sections will be judged:
- fruit and vegetables
- farm produce
- cake decorating
- cookery
- jams, jellies,pickles etc
- cut flowers
- plants in containers
- bonsai
- arranged flowers
- porcelain painting
