The Mid-North Coast looks set for more rain, possibly for the next 10 days, according to weatherzone meteorologist Tom Hough.
The reason the showers will continue is easy: moist onshore winds are continuing to drive many of the showers onto our coastline. That weather pattern looks set to be replicated each day right through to the end of next week.
But in some good news, Mr Hough says the forecast does include some sunny spells.
“Thursday’s weather will include possible showers throughout the day with some sunny spells as well,” he said.
“The greatest chance of clearer spells is in the early evening. The daytime maximum temperature is between 26 and 27 degrees with a minimum of 19 degrees.
“Unfortunately on Friday there looks like being a fair amount of rain hanging around with showers forecast throughout the day. You can expect somewhere between one and five millimetres of rain on the day. It will also be slightly cooler with 25 degrees as the maximum and a minimum temperature of just 18 degrees.”
In some good news Saturday should brighten up a little bit with ‘possible sunny spells interspersed between the showers’.
The temperature should top 26 degrees after a minimum of 17.
“But the rain is hanging around,” Mr Hough added.
Sunday’s weather pattern is similar to Saturday but with more rain forecast. The temperature range is 18 to 27 degrees.
“From Monday the weather – and that means rain – looks like it will hang around for at least the next five or seven days.
“I’d advise you to keep a rain coat handy.”
Winds and seas are consistent with the forecast rain with Friday featuring possible 10 knot winds that will ease slightly going into the weekend.
