A total of 43mm of rain was recorded at Taree in the 24 hours to 9am Saturday. Almost 119mm of rain fell on Thursday, March 16, Taree’s wettest day this year.
The Manning River remained below flood level despite constant rain overnight in the catchment. Some minor flooding was reported.
Showers and mild temperatures are predicted through next week, although temperatures will increase to highs of 28 degrees on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
People are reminded to never drive, ride or walk through floodwater.
