Wingham’s Chapman and Wood Chemist has been taking care of the health needs of the Wingham community for over 95 years. Mike and his wife Marilyn purchased the business in 1982, and have built the business over time to employ more than 28 locals.

Mike has spent at least 35 years serving the community with dedication and commitment – pharmacy is his passion, and he loves interacting with customers. He has developed a great level of trust with the customers due to his dedication, and his desire to go above and beyond to make sure their needs are met.

Chapman and Wood has a wide range of services and products, backed by well trained staff who can offer advice. Free blood pressure testing is always available, as well as other great Health Promotion campaigns. This year the focus is on heart and gut health, with customers able to have a free 10-minute heart or gut health assessment. The pharmacists believe it is important to be aware of blood pressure which can be linked to health issues like heart attack and stroke. High blood pressure is a silent thing, and the pharmacy is pleased to be offering StrokeCheck on two separate days this year. StrokeCheck is a free consultation with a doctor and radiographer to assess your risk of stroke. (Bookings essential)

Other visiting professionals during the year are: Bone Density Australia, Australian Hearing, NSW Diabetes, and our Flu Vaccine Clinics – the list is endless, and always expanding.

Chapman and Wood has also been a continued Diabetes Australia agent, and stocks diabetes products, with staff also trained in diabetes management and control.

Dose Administration Aids is another big area of the pharmacy, with many community members and organisations benefiting from the service.

The range within the pharmacy is extensive, from  products for pain management, cough and cold and wound care to vitamins, weight loss products, cosmetics and skincare .

The pharmacy strives to provide a comprehensive and professional service, with ear piercing, passport photos and a free delivery service in the local area still offered.

A unique giftware range, offering affordable, quality gifts for every occasion also makes the pharmacy a lovely place to browse and shop.
