Guest speaker will be Samantha Everett who will speak about resilience through creativity.
Samantha Everett shares a studio space “a little to the left” upstairs at the Taree Literary Institute Library with her mother Jennifer Dayment. Together they are “Sweet-Pea and Mumma” who share a love of textiles, creativity and repurposing many types of materials, as well as the positive power that creativity has for both mental health and self-esteem.
Samantha enjoys the challenge of working with and mentoring others in finding their own creative outlets. A weekly session, “make time for me”, caters for those who want to come and find what works for them on their own particular creative journey to promote “resilience through creativity”.
Samantha uses a quote by Pablo Picasso “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away” - expressing her desire to connect people with creativity to nourish the soul.
The cost for the evening is $25, which includes a two course meal with complimentary tea and coffee after the meal.
RSVP by 10am on Monday March 20.
