With 11 libraries across the MidCoast region, bringing the entire team together is no easy feat, but it’s an opportunity for get things right under the same umbrella, according to MidCoast Council’s manager of libraries, Chris Jones.
“Now that we are merging three different library systems under one umbrella, it’s really vital that we give ourselves the best opportunity to achieve the best outcomes for the library service and the community,” said Chris.
“In order to get this right, we need to have all of our staff involved and the only way we can achieve this is by closing our branches for one day.”
All MidCoast Library branches, including Wingham, Taree, Harrington, Hallidays Point, Old Bar, Gloucester, Forster, Tea Gardens, Stroud, Nabiac and Bulahdelah will close on Monday February 13, 2017 and will be back to normal hours on Tuesday February 14.
For those wanting to return items on this day, the after-hours chutes will be available at all branches.
