She also won the best uddered cow award and was entered in the competition by Anthony and Caitlin Coombes, Toms Creek.
Tarcoola Sultan Ande won the four years in milk class before being awarded the overall champion ribbon.
Unlike traditional showring judging the on-farm challenge as its names suggest means the cattle are judged on-farm in their working clothes.
No highly polished halters for these girls or hours spent in the clipping chute.
This year’s judge was Todd Wilson from the well known Shirlinn Jersey Stud now in Tamworth but originally founded at the family’s Wingham district property.
He described the 2016 line-up as an outstanding with quality throughout the 100 head entered in the competition.
Under 12 months class winner was Tequlia Merle shown by Susan Morrison.
Under two year class winner was Avon Valley Rowdy Rose exhibited by Tim Wilson and Kate Forbes, Gloucester.
Avon Valley Rowdy Rose was also the champion heifer.
Reserve champion was Ingalala Valentino Romanace entered by the Johnston Bros, Ingalala stud, Taree.
Two years in milk class winner was another Johnston Bros entry Ingalala Tequila Delilah.
Three years in milk class winner was Wallacedale Topeka Melanie entered by the Coombes family, Long Flat.
Fives years in milk was a Shirlinn bred cow Shirlinn ILD Zara exhibited by Susan Morrison.
The mature cow class winner was Cedar Vale Blackstone Poppy shown by the Atkins family, Johns River.
Reserve champion cow was Hastings Excite Shelly from the Lindsay family, Huntingdon.
Some of the Manning District winners went onto be in the top six placings of the Jersey Australia’s Great Northern Challenge.
This is an impressive result for the breeders as the Great Northern Challenge takes in breeders from Bega in NSW through to Atherton in Queensland.
