A sellout in January 2016, the rodeo attracted thousands of locals and visitors who witnessed amazing action in the arena.
Wingham Summertime Rodeo will be the chance for the brave bronc riders and bull riders to put on a thrilling show for crowds as they compete.
All the action happens on Saturday January 7 with gates opening at noon. The slack round commences from noon and main events start at 6pm.
Some of the exciting events on the program include:
- Ladies barrel race
- Novice saddlebronc
- Bareback
- Team roping
- Juvenile and junior steer rides
- Juvenile and junior barrel races
- Bull rides
And if you thought something was missing for the past couple of years – be assured, he’s back!!
Try your luck on the mechanical bull.
Returning after a two year absence, this ride is a favourite with those who love the thrill of a bull ride.
Entertainment throughout the night until late includes amusement rides, stalls and a rocking live band - The Trapps from 9.30pm.
This is an event for the whole family.
Food will be available and the licenced bar will be open until 11pm (proof of age is required).
Be early, and don’t miss out. The gates will close when the Rodeo Arena viewing area is full.
For patron safety, viewing pleasure and security, no gazebos or tarps are to be erected on the rodeo bank. And don’t forget no alcohol or glass bottles are to be brought onto the grounds.
Wingham Showgrounds are on Gloucester Road, Wingham.
Admission
Adults $15, pensioners and children 12-17 years $10, children five to 11 years $5 and children under five are free.
