Social Bowls
Stan Burnell-Jones had high hopes of a victory once he realised his team consisted of Leonie Gilford and Dick Connell. But his hopes were dashed as he had counted his chickens before they were hatched and the result went to Kev Coles, Ben Wolters and Elaine Holden by a massive 36 shots. Naturally Stan brought in the winners for the day.
Rex Dawson, Peter Tindall and Allan Cox had a good win and runners up with their +12 over Chris Kane, Craig Martin and Allan Dodd.
The lucky draw result went to Graeme Ireland and Mick Hollebone with a +8 win over Tom Moore and Patrick Payton. John Black, Lorraine Rothe and Glenn Gilford finished with a +6 over Robert Allan, Paul Swan and Joanne Duncan. Greg Bartlett, Alana Burns and Laurelle Dennes got a +8 win over Glen Dennes, Claudia O’Donnell and Tim Richardson. Daniel Leadbeater and Snow Trenchard got a +3 win over Jack Pie and Graeme Mansfield. Dallas Hammond, Hunter Payton and Peter Holden got up by a shot against Howard Snelson, Peter Kriss and Dennes Rothe.
Wednesday Twilight - 5.30pm start
Jarod Greenaway, playing his first game, showed a lot of promise and even got two touches on one of the ends when he had with him Aaron Murray and Peter Kriss to be the winners when they defeated Jim and John Gillogly and Kim McCloy by four shots.
The runners-up were Tony Lowman and Greg Hunter with a draw against Greg Hile and his partner. Peter Howarth and Tony Colchen continue to win and this time over Foody Martin and Cliff Bush by four shots. Mark Hammond, Col McTaggart and Mick Harris raced away to lead 8-nil but then fell in a heap to let Wayne Goward, Neville Bell and Allan Dodd back into the game with a drawn result of ten apiece being the result.
The next two Saturdays are big days with the Port day and pork and ham events, so enter your names early to ensure a game.
