President Jan Hayden and her committee members were very pleased with the success of the Christmas Fair held on Saturday, December 3.
About 18 stall holders showed off their wares, many hand-made, as a steady stream of visitors browsed the displays from 8am until 1pm.
The lucky winner of the iced Christmas cake raffle run by the Hall Committee was Mel Callanan from Tinonee General Store, who was delighted. Many thanks to talented hall member Jenny Cherry who baked and iced the cake.
Final figures are still to be tallied and a full report will be presented at the hall committee meeting on Tuesday, December 13, at 7.30pm.
At the close of the meeting members will enjoy some Christmas nibbles before taking a break until February 2017.
Carols in the park
Thanks to the Tinonee Soccer Club in conjunction to Tinonee Rural Fire Services who will be staging the Carols in the Park back at its former venue, the Bob Collier Oval this coming Friday, December 9 from 6pm until 9pm.
Music will be supplied by Club Taree Band and appearances will be made by pupils of Earth Angels, who will perform three items; Tinonee Public School Choir, with three songs, and the community will join in singing of carols led by the band.
Santa Claus will be making an appearance and a barbecue will be run by the Tinonee firies. The hall committee will be selling electric candles and glow sticks. We hope the weather will be kind and everyone should have a great time.
