Eight year old American x cocker spaniel Ebony (aka Princess Wiggle Bottom) recently overcame her fear of the water after her stay at Wingham Pet Motel and her owners are delighted.
Annette Stewart and her husband Morgan live in Tuncurry, work in Taree and travel to Sydney quite a bit. When they are away Ebony makes herself comfortable with Rosalind Walker and her team at Wingham Pet Motel.
Ebony will be nine years old in February and until October this year she had only been in the water once. Many years ago.
“We had to pull her out,” said Annette.
Giving up on the idea that Ebony would ever be a water baby, Annette was surprised to learn her pooch had developed a new found love of the water.
“Ros said the other dogs were playing and Ebony just followed them in,” explained Annette.
And clearly didn’t need rescuing.
Now every time Annette walks Ebony by the beach the little dog with a wiggly bottom runs in and has a little play.
She’s also been back for another stay at the pet motel and made very good use of the pool.
