With the dates now set for Bonnie Wingham Scottish Festival 2017 as the first weekend in June, it is time for poets and recitationists to get into gear for the Braveheart Poets’ Breakfast on Friday June 2.

Once again the Wingham Anglican Church will host the breakfast and, together with the Scottish Festival, will donate the proceeds to the Wingham High School student counselling program.
Organisers are inviting potential performers from near and far to get their reciting hats on and get ready to perform f
Read or recite your own creation, or a favourite.
Past years have seen poets from as far as Grafton recite and it is hoped that they will be getting ready to perform again and try their skills alongside the locals.
All the Bonnie Wingham Scottish Festival 2017 booking forms and online forms are now live with the 2017 program of events added to the 'Bonnie Wingham Scottish Festival' page on the www.manninghistorical.org website.
Events for this year’s festival will once again kick off with a Scottish concert on May 28 followed by the Genealogy Fair on Thursday June 1. Again the main games day will be the Saturday beginning with a street parade and a combined Scottish lunch and Ceilidh will close the festivities on Sunday June 4.
Bookings are already being taken for the market stalls.
