Firefighters are working to contain a fire which is burning to the north of Kundabung, and to the west of Crescent Head.
The fire has breached containment lines on the northern side of Kundabung and is burning in a southerly direction towards Winstead Road and Kundabung Road.
The Rural Fire Service are advising that anyone who plans on leaving the area do so now in a southerly direction along the Pacific Highway.
The fire is also burning along Wortley Drive at Beranghi.
The fire is burning in a south-easterly direction and is close to isolated rural properties. Residents in this area should monitor conditions and be aware of burning embers which may start spot fires.
People in Crescent Head will see sigificant amounts of smoke but there is no immediate threat to the township. Residents are asked to monitor conditions.
Firefighters are working in the area and are being assisted by waterbombing aircraft.

If you are in the area of Wortley Drive at Beranghi, monitor conditions and be aware of burning embers.
These burning embers may start spot fires ahead of the main fire front.
