Hosted by 2BOB Community Radio, the event will take place on Saturday November 5 from 9.30am to 4pm at Taree Park behind 2BOB.
There will be food from Africa, Germany, Japan, Greece, Russia, the Phillipines and 2BOB’s Global Food Cafe.
One of the event co-ordinators Sophie Donovan, who hosts the radio’s Greek hour, said, “a lot of people like food from many cultures”.
“Being a diverse and multicultural area, an event like this is good way to understand each another and promote inclusion,” Sophie said.
“It will a fun day to enjoy who we are.”
Tess Spinks, who hosts 2BOB’s Filipino hour, said food is also a good way to learn about different cultures.
“In the Phillipines, we don’t even need an occasion, we find ways to get together with food,” she said.
“We always have an abundance of food because we love celebrating and just being together.”
Sophie said, a lot of cultures share experiences around food.
The fair will also include multicultural entertainment.
World music will come from The Raduga Trio (Russian folk), Kadenza (Irish folk), Flamenco Guitar, Manning Valley Concert and Peggy Van Zalm.
There will be dance displays from Lazarka International Folk Dancers, Filipino Dance Group and African dance.
There will also be children’s Russian games, artisan hand made goods and the making of international hats for the parade.
