Tinonee and Mondrook communities were saddened to learn of the passing of Eric Muldoon on Monday, October 17, aged 63 years.
Eric was the youngest son of the late Peggy and William Muldoon and was born in Dorrigo. The family later moved to Coff’s Harbour and then to Tinonee.
Eric married Janelle Sullivan at St Luke’s Anglican Church Tinonee; built their home at Mondrook and raised children Luke, Amanda, Kristy and Emma, who gave them their loving grandchildren.
Eric was a strong supporter of the Tinonee Eagles Soccer Club, Tinonee Public School and was vice president and groundsman at the Mondrook Hall.
Eric’s funeral was at St Luke’s Anglican Church on October 21, conducted by the Rev Brian Ford. Testimony to Eric’s life was the number of mourners who overflowed to the large marquee provided by Becker Family Funerals.
Daughter Amanda, supported by her husband Luke, paid a wonderful tribute to her dad Eric and his life. A private cremation at Manning Great Lakes Crematorium was followed by a wake at Mondrook Hall catered by Camp Quality. Donations in lieu of flowers were accepted for Manning Valley CanAssist.
Historical society
Copies of the revised Tinonee Memories are still available for sale at the Tinonee Historical Museum. Members and interested persons are reminded that the October meeting is on Thursday, October 27, at 7.30pm – all welcome.
Happy birthday hubby
Husband John celebrated his 65th birthday October 22, and then had a bit of a bash on Sunday, in his new man shed, when 16 family, neighbours and friends helped him celebrate with a barbecue. Phone calls and Skype from daughter Fiona, son Andrew and his wife Sharona, grandchildren Keala and Korben, made his day complete.
John, who loves his fishing, had two cakes - one I made using the numbers 65 and a silver fish, and a great fish shaped mud cake made by neighbour Sheryl. He had a wonderful time with lots of photos to help him remember the day.
