The meetings are for residents of the council area to find out the most up-to-date information on how the merger is progressing.
Interim General Manager, Glenn Handford, along with other key MCC staff are looking forward to hitting the road once again and visiting communities across the region, from Harrington in the north to Tea Gardens in the south.
“These meetings are a great way for us to get to know people in each community and chat about opportunities, challenges and concerns, which all help us in our decision making,” said Glenn.
In this round of meetings, Glenn and the team will present MCC’s long term financial position, provide an update on what they’ve achieved so far and be available to answer any questions people might have.
“We’d also like to start a conversation with our community about introducing a Special Rate Variation.
“This will allow us to provide the standard of assets that our community expect and deserve and assist our long term financial sustainability,” added Glenn.
For those who’d like to attend, the meetings will be held on:
The Wingham meeting will be held at the Wingham Golf Club on October 20 at 6pm.
