Care for Cancer Day: Sunday, October 16, the Wingham Bowling Club will host a family fundraising day for the Cancer Council. There will be morning tea, an all-day barbecue, raffles etc. All are welcome. For more information or to donate for the raffle, please contact the club on 6553 4030.

Dinner Dance: Saturday, November 12, at Caffrey’s Flat Hall there will be a dinner dance and music from Ross Fahey. Tickets are $27.50 per adult, $15 for children aged 10-16, and children younger than 10 free. Enjoy a three-course meal with plenty of dancing. To reserve your place, call Lola on 6550 7593.
Cinema Under the Stars: Saturday, September 24, LJ Hooker Wingham presents the free family event Cinema under the Stars at Wingham Central Park from 6pm.
Comboyne Spring Spectacular: Sunday, September 25, at the Comboyne Showground. There will be an art exhibition and demonstrations; a floral display; Car Club Capers; Midcoast Mower Racing; animals; classic motorcycles; historic machinery; a poultry show; live music; fair rides; face painting; whip cracking; market stalls; country cooking; food and beverages. Cost is $5 for adults, children younger than 16 free. Proceeds to aid the community-owned Comboyne Showground and Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
Swim Club: October 5 and 12, Wingham Swimming Club will offer free nights from 6pm. Standard pool entry fee applies. All official program nights require completion of a registration form; fees apply from October 20. This is open to beginners from age three.
