On Wednesday the veterans hosted an interclub visit with Club Taree. There were 68 starters and the winner was Sandy Dunn, followed by Danny Mills with Geoff Swaffield finishing third. The sharp shooters were on the 3rd and 12th Don Cameron, and on the 7th and 6th M.Phillips.
On Thursday, 31 players went round in the chook run. The winner was Jim Bradshaw with a massive 26 points, next was Sharon Juozaitis 24, Richard Clarke 23, Alan Mudford 22, and John Thotburn 21 c/b. The NTP winners were on the 3rd Rod Brown, and on the 7th Craig Harrison.
Saturday dawned a beautiful day with 69 players taking advantage of the weather playing for the Wingham Beef Export Trophies. The event was a two player aggregate and the winners were the two youngsters Adam Rylewski and Reid Brown 76 pts. Next was Peter Tait and Adrian Yeo 74, and 3rd Rohan and Trevor Abbott 73.
The individual winners were Wayne Lewis 37, Brad Sawyer 36 c/b, Kyle McMasters 36 c/b. The NTP winners were on the 1st and 10th winning the Wingham Plaza Butchers voucher Rohan Abbott, 3rd and 12th Wingham Remedial Massage Paul Muir, 4th and13th All About Conveyancing Daryl Heywood, 7th and 16th Bayview Seafoods Sandy Dunn,and on the 9th and 18th Bent on Food Rohan Abbott.
Balls went down to 66 pointsts with John Hynes and Peter Bell winning the last ones.
Events coming up
ON Saturday August 30 a stroke round for the Wingham Computers trophy, and on August 27 a stableford will be played for the Wingham Cellars Trophy.
