Originating in the Manning Valley in 2006, the Manning Valley Jamm for Genes is now celebrating its 10th year with festivities starting Friday August 5.
Jamm for Genes is a once a year opportunity to hear great music from a range of local musicians donating their time and talent to raise money for the Children’s Medical Research Institute.
To show your support take friends and family along to the following generous venues, who have thrown their support into the cause:
Friday August 5, 5.30pm – Flow, Old Bar. Featuring Dave Ball, Craig Bourke and Alyse Gray Band. Catch them at happy hour!
Saturday August 6, 7pm - Australian Hotel (Top Pub) Wingham featuring Rob McQ, Danny Woods, Kranky Duck, Pete and Tony from Lift, and The Trapps rockin till late!
Sunday August 7, 2pm-6pm - Harrington Hotel featuring The Crew, Paul Stanley, Dave Elith Project and The Workshop duo. Take your friends and enjoy lunch with a view.
Admission is free to all gigs.
Just take along your spare change, wear your jeans and purchase some official Jamm for Genes Merchandise from the Gene Genies.
All funds raised go towards creating a healthier future for generations of children to come, by providing funds to the Children’s Medical Research Institute.
CMRI is an independent organisation committed to unlocking the mysteries of childhood disease, investigating conditions such as birth defects, cancer, and epilepsy.
Jeans for Genes Day
The official Jeans for Genes Day is Friday, August 5.
The is a great opportunity for locals to unite by wearing their favourite jeans and outdoing each other with crazy denim outfits, and donating money or purchasing merchandise, to support genetic research.
