This week Mother Nature put on some very cold mornings this week – minus three degrees on one morning and what a frost it produced!
The final of the Club Pair’s Championship was played and the results were as follows:
Gwen Bell and Alana Burns - 17 defeated Elaine Holden and Tina Rushworth – 11.
Elaine and Tina turned up wearing their white fleece jackets (and club uniform) looking like two polar bear pups ready to do battle against Gwen and Alana.
Both teams were seven all on the 10th end when Gwen and Alana picked up a good three points on next end. Elaine and Tina battled on only to drop a four pointer on 15th end making it 10/15. Gwen and Alana took the win to 17/11.
Congratulations to both teams who displayed good sportsmanship throughout this game.
