From movie screenings, wooden toy workshops and kid’s bingo to craft activities and games, there’s something to suit all interests and everyone will be welcomed by the friendly library staff these school holidays, from Monday, July 4 to Friday, July 15.
MidCoast Council’s library events coordinator (Taree office), Danielle Old, is looking forward to welcoming back the regulars and hopes that some newcomers join in the fun.
“We have been running the school holiday program for over seven years now and it’s been great to see every year it’s become more and more popular,” said Danielle.
In an exciting addition to the program, the library team have partnered with Taree Central shopping centre to host a Pop Up Library in the centre on Wednesday, July 6 and Thursday, July 7.
“We encourage locals to pop by, join the library and borrow from the sample collection of books, magazines, DVDs and CDs that we'll have on the day.
“We'll also be running a special storytime session on both days at 10am and 2pm,” Danielle said.
“For those who haven’t visited the library lately, the Pop Up Library is a great opportunity to learn about the free resources available all year round.”
Most of the activities are free, so visit the library website. To view the full program and reserve your spot, visit www.manningvalleylibraries.com.au
