weatherzone meteorologist Kim Westcott said temperatures are likely to drop to as low as four degrees.
“Friday afternoon you can expect the wind to start picking up but overall it is still a beaut day with a top temperature of around 21 degrees,” she said.
“However, once that afternoon breeze kicks in, it is likely to make it feel a lot colder.
“And once the winds slow down in the early hours of Saturday, the cooler temperatures will really start to roll in.
“Saturday’s low of four degrees will shift to a maximum of 16 degrees while on Sunday it will be even chillier overnight – down to around three degrees – with a temperature top of 17 on the day.”
The chilly temperatures won’t be helped by sometimes windy conditions through Saturday.
“Winds will probably hit up and down the coast and from a south westerly directions,” she said.
“They could get up to around 24 kilometres per hour.”
Ms Westcott said the days will still see plenty of sunshine.
“I guarantee the washing will dry pretty fast,” she added.
With snow possible down to about 1000 metres, albeit a little patchy at times, anyone contemplating the drive to Barrington Tops should first consider the road conditions.
Saturday is probably the best day to check any possible snow activity.
The next best chance of rain is either Monday or Tuesday off the back of another cold front that will likely move through the region.
