Do you have a delightful dog, a cute cat, a handsome horse or maybe even a sweet snake?

The Wingham Chronicle is seeking entrants for the  2016 Pet Academy Awards.

We have some great prizes up for grabs and it is free to enter!

The competition is open to all pets, and although we ask for a nice photo that shows your pet off perfectly, this is not a photographic competition.

You don’t need special skills behind the lens to enter, just a keen eye for a cute pet.

There are three categories - Cutest Pet , Best Companion Pet and Best Dressed Up Pet. 

Great prizes for each category are up for grabs. We have three Taronga Western Plains Zoo family passes for two adults and two children valued at $120.00 each to be won. Simply email a recent photo of your current pet to elaine.turner@fairfaxmedia.com.au.

Emailed photos should be a minimum resolution of 150dpi and maximum size of 2mb.

You can also drop your photo and details to the Wingham Chronicle office at 63 Isabella Street Wingham.

The competition is free to enter. Please provide your pet’s name and the category you are entering. Please also tell us your name (or pet owner’s name), address and contact phone number.

All entrants will receive an Official Entrant Certificate via return email as a confirmation that your entry has been received.

These pictures will be gradually uploaded into a gallery on our website and may also appear in print in the Wingham Chronicle.
