The concert series is titled Dance, Dance, Dance and is themed predominantly on dance music from various eras.
Sinfonia was set up seventeen years ago after a small number of local musicians had a great desire to play music together. They formed the first regional orchestra on the Mid North Coast, and since then, it’s gone from strength to strength.
Musicians, playing a wide range of instruments, come from Gloucester, Forster, Tuncurry, Wingham, Taree, Camden Haven, Port Macquarie and Wauchope.
Practice sessions are held in Taree each fortnight, under the batons of honorary conductor Heidi Lambert and assistant Iain Pole.
Tickets for the June concert series are $25 per person, or $20 for group bookings of 10 or more, with children under 16 years of age free.
