An early try to Beau Prior, converted by Nick Beacham, was matched by Old Bar for a 6-6 score after 10 minutes. The visitors then went ahead, until Beau Prior scored his second try under the posts to level the scores at 12-12. Tries by Codey Green (converted by Ben Griffiths) and then Brock Howard made the score 22-12 at the break. The second half started well for the home team when Jackson Mullen barged over after Nick Beacham had kicked a 40-20. Five minutes later Garyn Burnes scored out wide to give Wingham a 30-12 lead. Then Aaron Bakewell scored after a Justin Berry 40-20. The Pirates retaliated with a try midway through the half to make the score 34-18. Zac Brown then crossed for Wingham, and Ben Griffiths added the extra points. After another try to the visitors, veteran Craig Ryan, celebrating 550 grade games for the Wingham Tigers, barged his way over under the posts. Craig was given the honour of converting his own try ... but missed. With their 44-24 victory, the Tigers go back to the top of the table in reserve grade.
The under 18s needed a win against Old Bar Beach to move back into the top five, and an early try to Jesse O'Connor gave the Tigers a 4-0 lead. The visitors then went ahead before Tate Grofos scored. Lleyton Cowie's conversion made the score 10-6. A late try to Old Bar gave them a 12-10 advantage at half time. The Pirates came out hard in the second half with two tries inside the first 10 minutes to extend their lead to 22-10 and went onto win 28-14.
