Tom and Steve, both very experienced bowlers and 2015 club champions, were looking fairly safe to go further in the competition half way into the contest when they led 17-6.
It was then that the Trenchards got their game together to win seven of the following eight ends to overhaul Tom and Kiwi to lead by three shots going into the final end.
Those who were fortunate enough to be there to witness the outcome of the match appreciated the quality of the game and the tense finish. Tom and his partner picked up three shots on the 21st end to thereby force an ‘extra’ end with the scores being 21 apiece.

The present champions held their nerve to gather two shots to take the match, however Snow and Rod did win 12 of the 22 ends and played and competed very well throughout.
Minor singles
