These meetings will be the first of regular 'community update' sessions which will be held every six months or so, to keep the community fully informed about the merger implementation and how the new council is developing.
The first meeting set for Wingham is on Wednesday, July 6 at Wingham Golf Club starting at 6pm.
"From the beginning, we are making our community a priority - the people who live, work and play in our region are at the core of who we are and what we do," Mr Handford said.
"The meetings are a two-way communication process. They give us a chance to outline the change management being undertaken at council so people are fully informed, and it gives you the opportunity to provide us with valuable feedback on what you would like to see in your council.
"We have a varied and unique region - in geography, in our towns and villages, and in our most valuable resource - our people - whose great diversity of skills and experience will help us grow a strong council.
"We need to build on these strengths together and hope people will come along to the meetings and be part of this,” Mr Handford concluded.
No RSVPs are required for the meeting, and all are welcome to attend.
MidCoast Council was formed in May when the Great Lakes, Taree and Gloucester councils were merged by the Baird government.
John Turner was appointed administrator of the new council, and Glenn Handford the interim general manager.
