Bowls on Wednesday last – he was very obliging to fill in following the departure of Col due to family matters.
Brad found himself up against the ‘cleaner’ Graeme and what a whitewash it was for Brad as he was swept ‘under the mat’ to the tune of 38-19.
Graeme and Cain Carmody kept Brad and his partner (new bowler) Matt Honner very quiet and of course they let their opponents gain the big winners prizes for the event.
As always Brad is very particular regarding the pace and finish on his greens - however if the greens are invaded by any creatures they are very quickly disposed of in some manner or other.
This last week some strange things have occurred when some deceased very small mice have found their resting place on the prize No.1 green surface.
The very brave Brad has resorted to the largest of shovels he could locate to find another final resting place for the little fellows and he now keeps his fingers crossed that in future the mice find a more appropriate landing spot.
Dad’s Army
Graeme and Cain as reported easily won the event followed by Howie Snelson and Ross ‘Alpha’ Piggott who collected a +12 against Peter Holden and John Pereira
John Black, Hunter Payton and once again Graeme Mansfield got a win this time over Ian Furner, Andrew Leung and Tim Richardson with a +12.
Jim Gillogly, Mick Hollebone and Warren Smith (displaying excellent form) won with a + 4 against Greg Bartlett, Paul Rhodes (from WA) and Glen Gilford.
Dallas Hammond, Daniel Leadbeater and Allan Messer had a +8 against Jason Nicholson and his team who can’t be named as the loosers card was not located...perhaps the mice have got to it.
