Site 1: Tim and Aleysha Sage, 886 Comboyne Road, Cedar Party
Tim and Aleysha have diversified enterprises on their grazing property includes free range chickens and a wide range of veggies. Produce will be for sale on the day. Half hour farm tour starting at 9.30 and 11am only.
Site 2: Maureen Larter, 956 Comboyne Road, Cedar Party
Honey, produce and books (Maureen is also an author) are sold from a roadside stall. Half hour farm tour begins at 9.30am and 11.30am
Site 3: Tim and Clare Boone, 80 Mortons Road, Killabakh
Family dairy farm, milking mainly Jersey cows on 200 acres of rolling Killabakh hills. Mortons Road is a narrow gravel road, access to the farm is over a single lane bridge, please drive with care. Short talk and a wander round the dairy at 10.30am, 12.
Site 4: Alfred Road Reserve, 1.5kms past Killabakh Hall on the right
Since 2008 Killabakh and Lower Cedar Party Landcare Group have weeded and regenerated an area of public land for all to enjoy. Nineteen significant trees have been labelled and an informative guide has been developed.
The Landcare Group will have morning tea available from 10am to noon.
Money raised will help continue local Landcare works. Reserve open all day.
Site 5: Anderssons Conservation Area, 2306 Comboyne Road, Killabakh
This 300 acre property has a 30 year history of weed eradication and tree regeneration 95 per cent is under VCA with National Parks. It boasts terrific views of the Comboyne Mountain and the beginning of the Lansdowne escarpment.
Driveway warning: narrow drive in with no room for passing traffic and limited parking.
Park on the road and walk in approximately 400 metres. Open 9-3pm, toilet stop available at the rear of Killabakh Hall.
Please visit at stated tour or opening times only, signs up on the day to identify sites. Wear boots and bring a hat.
