That is the official word from council in response to speculation the former Greater Taree City Council general manager had lost his job and was made redundant.
Concerns Mr Posselt had lost his position were raised on Friday, with word spreading at community events and on social media over the weekend.
It had also been suggested deputy general manager Danny Green, the former general manager of Gloucester Shire Council had lost his position.
However council said yesterday Mr Green was "working as usual".
The speculation over their jobs caused confusion amongst people in the community, who highlighted the proclamation, which protects council staff in their jobs for the next three years.
Council explained that the former general managers of all three councils are employed under standard local government contracts and as a result are not covered by Award provisions.
The Award provisions apply to all standard staff of council and protect their positions for three years.
The interim executive team structure of MidCoast Council is on the agenda for the first ordinary meeting, which takes place at 2pm tomorrow (May 25) at the former Great Lakes Council chambers in Breese Parade, Forster.
The interim structure to be considered includes the administrator, interim general manager, two deputy general managers (one based at Taree and one at Gloucester), then the executive leaders from Taree and Forster.
It is recommended that in Mr Posselt's absence, the Taree-based executive leader Corporate Support Laura Black and the executive leader Service Delivery Paul De Szell report directly to Mr Handford in regard to the Taree area operations.
A permanent organisational structure will be adopted within the first three months of the operation of the new council.
