Veterans Golf
ON Wednesday 54 golfers played a four player ambrose for the Wally Masters Trophies.
The winners were A Yeo, P Tait, J Daley, and P Anderson, next was S Gilfillan, J Bradshaw, J Aldous, and J Masters, third place R Lucas, R Miller, P Bacon and S Welsh.
The winners of the NTP on the third and 12th were Nev Hall, and on the seventh and 16th P Anderson.
Thursday chook run
PETE Hinton was the winner of the chook run with 24 points, next was Rex White 22, Sandy Dunn 21, Chantelle Steere 20c/b, Syd Gilfillan 20c/b, Tim Smith 20.
The sharp shooters winning the NTP on the third were Rex White and on the 7th Katrina Greenaway.
The LJ Hooker April umbrella was won by Barry Brown.
Weekend Golf
OVER the weekend the annual open weekend was held.
On Saturday a 4BBB was played for the Jax Tyres (Taree) - the winners were Brad Coleman and Ross Loy who received some very nice trohies with 52 points.
Next was Terry Harris and Mark Donnan with 49 points, third place Tony Lattimore and Richard Dudgeon 45c/b.
The individual winners were Steve Allwood 40c/b, Franc Shubert 40, and Jamie Greenway 39c/b.
The NTP winners were on the first and 10th winning the Wingham Plaza Butchers was Jamie Greenaway, on the third and 12th the Caddies voucher Mark Fotheringham, fourth and 13th All About Conveyancing Ben Marron, seventh and 16th Bayview Seafoods Matt Crutcher who put one 0.19m from the hole, ninth and 18th Bent on Food Ben Marron.
Ball went to 42 points on countback.
On Sunday the annual open day sponsored by Glass 24/7 with some much sought after trophies was held with visitors from all over the district and from afar - there were 72 players.
The winner was Reid Brown who at the turn was five over par to finish 1 over 73.
Runner-up was dad Rod Brown 75, nett Bill Fanning 69, runner-up Mark Johnson 72.
B-grade Scr Geoff Swaffield, runner-up Syd Gilfillan, B Nett Franz Schubert, runner-up Les Katona, C Scr John Broadbent, runner-up Brian Gartwaite, C nett Michael Wilkins, and runner-up David Broadbent.

Coming up events on Saturday 7th the club championship will commence over four rounds, the event will be the Taree Toyota Monthly Mug and the Drummond Golf Trophies and one the 14th the second round will held with Australian Insurance Solutions trophy will be played for.
