Lively conversations, discussions and debates from some of the world’s finest authors at the SWF will stream directly into Taree Library from Friday May 20 to Sunday May 22 and locals are invited to join in the conversation.
As well as hearing new ideas from great thinkers, our local audiences will have the opportunity to participate in question and answer sessions at each event, sending questions direct to the Sydney stage.
Council’s senior leader for cultural services, Margie Kirkness is excited to bring this Live and Local event back to Taree Library for its second year running.
“Regional audiences often can’t get to the city for events like this, so it’s fantastic that we can offer this and allow interested locals to actively participate and be heard on the Sydney stage,” Margie said.
Among the big names you can expect to hear from over the three days of live-streaming are Paul Kelly, Andrew Denton, Ann Goldstein, Sarah Ferguson, Bob Brown and Kerry O’Brien.
If you’d like to come along to see one or all of the speakers, entry is free, however bookings are essential and can be made by visiting www.libraries.gtcc.nsw.gov.au/events-and-programs/for-adults/, finding the speaker you’d like to see and clicking the ‘book here’ button.
