Last week Barry Smith, Peter Howarth and Garry Williams 14-7 won against Tony Lowman, Mark Hammond and Col McTaggart. Hunter Payton, Peter Tutty and Rod Payton just got up against Paul Swan, Rod and Snow Trenchard 13-12.

Friday jackpot: The “young-uns”, Scott Murray and Aaron Pereira came up against the mature aged pairing and Elaine and Peter Holden with the older pair, going down 15-8 and giving the event victory to the opposition. In the other game, Ron Lollback and Janet Nash just home against Peter Hall and Mick Hollibone 12-11.

In a triples encounter, Peter and Brian Williams played with Peter Tutty to just put it over Glen and Lotty Dennes playing with Mal Cannon, with the scores being 10-9.

Visit from Wallsend Travelling Bowlers: A good response from our locals ensured the visitors had some competition on Saturday afternoon and again on Sunday morning the men from Wallsend made a valiant effort to take home the shield.  The point score eventually favoured our locals, 73-56.

This Saturday: Teams will be arranged from single entries for the big match between the geographical “flat” area and the “hill” portion of our town.

Mixed pairs: The draw has been made and the first round is set for Sunday, October 14.
