The 16-year-old's selection was a result of successfully swimming under the qualifying time of 1.19 for the 100 metre breaststroke and under 2.50.50 for the 200m breaststroke.
She is the Manning River Times-Iguana Sportstar of the Week, earning a $50 open order at Iguana.
Jordana will make the trip with fellow Wingham Swimming Club member Paige Leonhardt. This is the pinnacle of Jordana's swimming so far.
Jordana is expecting the competition to be tough, however with swimming her only sport, she is determined to focus on her training.
Jordana trains six days a week with eight sessions.
Around four of these are before school and two are a mix between the gym and the pool.
Jordana is coached by her father Jeremy Wardrop.
She said getting coached by her father can be tough, but it is rewarding and encouraging at the same time.
Jordana started swimming from a young age and in the future she would like to pursue the sport professionally.
She looks up to retired Olympian Leisel Jones and young swimming sensations 21-year-old Bronte Campbell and her sister 23-year-old Cate Campbell as her inspriations.
Jordana is looking forward to seeing who will be selected to form the 2016 Rio Olympic Games Australian swim team.
