The Manning Valley with the North Coast Destination Network (NCDN) has successfully secured $65,500 through the NSW government’s Regional Visitor Economy Fund to promote and build visitation to the region from Newcastle and New England.

The Regional Visitor Economy Fund (RVEF) is managed and administered by the State’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW and supports investment in the regional NSW visitor economy on a matched dollar-for-dollar basis.
Greater Taree City Council’s team leader of tourism, Donna Hudson said she was excited about the fantastic announcement and showcasing the area’s pristine coastline and natural attractions.
“The Manning Valley is not traditionally thought of as a key player when it comes to destinations on the North Coast, but this marketing campaign will help to put us on the map as a sought after holiday destination."
“The $65,500 grant will be used to promote the Manning Valley in the Newcastle and New England markets across TV commercials, social media channels and Hot Deals aimed at driving visitation to the area,” said Donna.
Manning Valley Tourism worked closely with local businesses and the regional tourism body, NCDN, to achieve this wonderful outcome for the region, which is strongly supported by the public and private sectors working together towards a common goal.
Nineteen local businesses were the key drivers of this funding as they combined their marketing dollars and committed to spending over $90,000 in the campaign.
Together with the grant from Destination NSW, there will be an injection of $155,500 to promote the Manning Valley.
Manning Valley Tourism is pleased to be working with Destination NSW and the North Coast Destination Network to deliver this marketing campaign which will run until July 2016.
