Minor singles winner was Robert Allen and runner-up Paul Swan.
Wingham Plaza Butchery were the sponsors of the pairs which was won by Stephen Matheson and Tom Moore who continued on to win the District event and then went to Zone level. The runners-up for our club were John Black and David O’Donnell.
The triples event went to Tom Moore, Laurie Mullen and Brian Williams with the runners-up being Glen Dennes, Peter Williams and John Black and were sponsored by Wingham Newsagency.
Wingham Pharmacy were the sponsors of the fours which went to Peter and Brian Williams playing with Greg Bartlett and Steve Matheson as skip against Graeme Walker as skip with Ray McNeil, Kev Coles and Mick Hollebone.
Twenty eight players turned up for the Saturday open event which was won by Peter Williams, Robert Allen and Stan Burnell-Jones with a + 13 over Rex Dawson, Daniel Leadbeater and Andy Leung. Next best team were John Black and Dallas Hammond with a +12 over Graeme Ireland and Ross Piggott. With a +6 and ‘lucky’ draw were Jim Gillogly, Brian Williams and Allan Dodd against Glen Dennes, Hunter Payton and Jason Nicholson. Steve Matheson, Peter Hall and Mick Hollebone with a +6 defeated tom Moore, Barry Smith and Claudia O’Donnell.
In the remaining game Greg Bartlett, Diane Matheson and Mick Ladbry had a +3 result over Paul Swan, Kev Coles and Peter Kriss.
Mixed fours - first round
THE closest of the games and only separated by an end and being 19 all on the final end was that of Laurie Mullen, Peter and Elaine Holden and Narelle Foy with 23 shots over Ian Furner, Leonie and Glen Gilford and Chris Willey who finished with 19 shots.
Graeme Walker, Karen Carlton, Mick Hollebone and Pat Marcus finished with 22 shots to 14 against Graeme Ireland, Paul Swan, Margaret Hinton and Nancy Sandford.
Glen and Laurelle Dennes playing with Peter Hall and Tina Rushworth finished with 25 shots to 16 against Peter Williams, Jim Gillogly, Lillian Cross and Maureen Hollebone.
Steve and Diane Matheson played with Peter Kriss and Joanne Duncan had a 24-11 win over John Black, Col Hinton, Joan Thorburn and June Pedron.
Wednesday - Dad’s Army
TONY Baker, Barry Kershaw and Tim Richardson with a + 12 recorded the best card for the day with their win over Ian Furner, Winston Latimore and Warren Smith.
Dally Hammond and Andy Leung got a +9 over Brian Williams and Allan Dodd.
Bill and Daniel Leadbeater played with Greg Bartlett to get a +5 over Col Hinton, Kev Coles and Jake Kennett.
John Beach, Mick Hollebone and George Floyd with a shot difference defeated Steve Knott, Ross Piggott and Guy Watts.
Wednesday Twilight
RAY McNeil and Phill Anderson with their 15-10 score over Mick Harris and Peter Kriss were the lucky winning combination for the evening.
Tony Lowman and Pat Payton with their 21-17 result got on top of Hunter Payton and Allan Dodd.
The Dawson combination of Rex, Mick and Max had a 16-11 win over Peter Howarth, Tony Colchen and Jim Gillogly.
This Saturday
AT 10am 18 ‘travelling’ bowlers from Lorne (Maitland area) will play against our locals and following lunch there will be the normal social bowls .
On Saturdays December 5 and 12 entry sheets are on the board for two big days with lots of goodies to be won, so get the names in please.
