Then on Saturday what a great day to play golf. With visitors from Wauchope, Taree and Harrington Waters play was for the Wingham Cellars trophy. The winner with a par round for 47 points was Dave Andrews, well done. Day light was next with Rod Desbrough carding a great 40 pts to win A-grade, runner-up was Richard Dudgeon 35 pts, B-grade winner was Dave Elliott 42pts, with Stave Abbott 41pts runner up, C-grade winner was Bog ‘I’m back’ Yarnold with 41pts, runner-up Tony Lattimore 41.
The sharp shooters taking out the NTP on the first and 10th Wingham Plaza Butchers Terry Harris, third and 12th Manning Natural Healing B Wilson, fourth and 13th All About Conveyancing Dave Andrews, seventh and 16th Bayview Seafoods Peter Prattton, and the Bent on Food voucher was won by Steve Abbott. Balls went to 35 points.
The veterans on Wednesday played for the John Aldous Trophy with Geoff Swaffield the winner with 43 points, next were Corey Moore 38, and third was Graham Troth 37 points. The NTP on the third and 12th was won by Geoff Swaffield, and the seventh and 16th Rex White was the lucky winner. There were 42 starters.
The Wednesday ambrose was taken out by Browns +2 (Dave Irvine), next was Tax Deductions (Earle Braham), Bakewell Haulage (Craig Miggins), Manning Smash (Bob Polly). The NTP on the third was won by Pete Hinton and the bottle of port for last week was won by Scott Watters, and this week’s was won by Paul Latimore.
Thursday Chook was won by Terry Woods 21pts, next was Rex White 19 c/b, Neville Blanch 19, George Legge 18 c/b, Rod Brown 18 c/b. Dave Andrews was the winner of the NTP on the third with Neville Blanch won the seventh.
Coming events on the 28th Tiger Pins sponsored by Rod Brown and Leslie Steel, the club presentation will also be held on that night. On December 5 the Taree Toyota Monthly Mug will be played for.
