Two weeks ago, Renae, mother of the Wingham Chronicle’s paper boy Callum, was suffering migraines and subsequently two brain aneurysms were found, necessitating an emergency trip to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
Thankfully, surgery was able to repair the damage, however Renae has been left with a long recovery time.
Renae’s partner Marcus is having to take extended leave from work to care for Renae, so family and friends are rallying to help support the family financially.
Two raffles are being held at the Top Pub on Friday night, with music being provided by a DJ.
On October 30, there were be another evening at the pub when the tickets will be drawn.
Tickets will still be on sale until then and details will be provided after the weekend.
